We exist to equip vulnerable children and youths in our community with self-support skills and knowledge of protecting themselves against the risk of HIV/AIDS and violence.

Our strategies are focused on resolving the most pressing needs of the community and include programs that enhance the capacity of marginalized groups to take charge of the issues that affect them.

HIV/AIDS Prevention & Care

YEI engages communities in discussing effective prevention of and care for HIV/AIDS through home visits, worksite discussions, anti-stigma campaigns, weekly radio programs and sensitization debates at schools, colleges and hospitals.

Care & Support for OVCs

Human Rights Programs

The Tim Rosta Youth Resource Centre

Located in the heart of the border town of Lhubiriha-Mpondwe (at the Ugandan border with the Democratic Republic of Congo), the centre is named after one of our longtime supporters, Mr. Tim Rosta. ...

I have seen many organizations led by young people, but I haven't met one making such an impact as YEI. In the face of meager resources and a lot of issues to deal with, YEI has managed to standout as a role-model for other organizations in the area. I am proud to offer my support to the organization.

Mr. Tim Rosta,
Former Senior Vice President
of Integrated Marketing for MTV Networks International
